In 24^th-25^th October 2024, the results of LEVANTE project were showed at the 11^th National Workshop of Green Chemistry-Chimica Sostenibile at Turin, Italy, where the research units presented their results and findings. Specifically, the Principal Investigator Claudia Antonetti (UNIPI) delivered the poster presentation “Renewable diphenolic acid synthesis in batch and continuous reactor: an eco-friendly substitute for bisphenol A” underlining the progresses in the synthesis of a renewable diphenolic acid in the presence of acid catalysts derived from biomass. On a similar topic, Vincenzo Russo from the University of Napoli presented the results obtained in the synthesis of the ethyl ester of diphenolic acid derived from ethyl levulinate and phenol in the presence of commercial catalysts “Condensation of ethyl levulinate with phenol on Amberlyst-15”.
