In July 2024, the results of LEVANTE project were showed at the 18th International Congress on Catalysis (ICC 2024) at Lyon, France, where the research units presented their results and findings. Specifically, the Principal Investigator Claudia Antonetti (UNIPI) delivered the poster presentation “Fully renewable diphenolic acid from levulinic acid, natural-based phenols and char-derived acid catalysts”, highlighting the achievements in the synthesis of a fully renewable diphenolic acid in the presence of acid catalysts derived from biomass. The research unit in Bologna presented their accomplished results in the poster presentation “Levulinate esters valorization: from γ-valerolactone to ethyl pentenoates through an innovative gas-phase continuous flow process”, underlining the valorization of levulinate esters adopting the catalytic transfer process in the presence of a cheap zirconia-based catalyst.
